The echo and the call are same,
if you sound’s secret knew
They both were one, but two became
only when ‘hearing’ came.
~Sur Kalyan, Bhitai (translated by: Kazi, n.d.)

When one reads the mystic poetry of Shah Abdul Latif Bhitaii, it feels like, the universe has succumbed to the oneness of God, and there is a mighty Singularity around us that we are not familiar of. The universe seems to bow in His praise. The very idea of Love is bounded by the context of Singularity and no exception of pluralism and two.

There is a great deal for men to learn
From the birds who live and move in flocks.
They foster love and co-existence among themselves."
~Shah Abdul Latif Bhitai

From One, many to being came;
'many' but Oneness is;
Don't get confounded,
Reality is 'One', this truth don't miss
Commotions vast display - all this
I vow, of Loved-one is.
~Shah Abdul Latif Bhitai
